Free parking available with validation through Metropolis in the parking garage on Fogg St., just off of 8th Ave. across from our old shop. We provide validation inside our store for all customers.
Expanding Our Legacy
Our new location features over 2,000 guitars, a bigger authentication team, and the highly anticipated and newly reopened Carter Vintage Repair shop, led by Greg Ellis. With more square footage, we’ve added an exclusive space for creatives called Carter Studios, a Live from Carter’s stage, rooms for private appointments, more lifestyle merchandise, and expanded office space. Customers will be greeted by a stunning mural by artist Brian Law, commissioned in partnership with Gibson Guitars, and a lobby filled with Carter Vintage Guitars merchandise and accessories.
Located in the heart of the Gulch in Nashville, Tennessee, The new Carter Vintage store at 606 8th Avenue South, Suite 201, spans an impressive 12,500 square feet within the historic Antiques building. Our expansive showroom features a wide selection of vintage fretted instruments, as well as select, high-quality new instruments. Customers are invited to explore and try out instruments on comfortable benches or in private rooms, ensuring a personalized and enjoyable shopping experience.
Directions:
Our new location is situated in the old Antiques building, spanning the entire first floor of the building. You will see our iconic logos on the front and the side of the building which is directly above the fabulous restaurant Two Hands and directly opposite the legendary restaurant Arnold’s.
If you are walking, it is a 10-minute walk from downtown, and as soon as you pass Two Hands on the left-hand side, take a left down the alleyway and follow the signs (a man with a guitar). Walk up the stairs, and you will be greeted with our world-famous Gibson Murals and friendly Carter Vintage Guitars front-of-house team.
If you are driving from downtown, simply take a left down Fogg Street immediately past the new beautiful Prima Building, and drive into the parking garage. Again, follow the Carter Vintage Guitar logos wherever you see them. Parking is completely FREE for all our customers; all you have to do is set up your account with Metropolis and then validate your parking when you enter or leave the store.
